Electrically Propelled Vehicles

CITELEC follows the development of the market of electrically propelled vehicles and performs vehicle evaluations in collaboration with the ETEC electric vehicle laboratory of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), the premier electric vehicle research centre in Belgium.

The test programme encompasses both on-road tests in various traffic conditions, as to assess the true operational ability of the vehicle, as well as standardised road and laboratory tests for the analysis of energy flows and modelisation of the vehicle. 
The outcome of the tests provide both practical information for electric vehicle users and interesting research data which can be input in the award-winning vehicle simulation programme developed at the VUB.
